Let’s face it. The corporate world as we know it today is nothing less than a veritable battleground. Especially today, in a world left reeling from a financial crisis, uncertainty in the job market – and elsewhere – is higher than ever. Competition is rising at a cut-throat pace as students of increasingly higher calibre and diverse skill base enter the market. Coursework needs to be supplemented with practical experience and integrated with the expectations of the job market.

That is where we come in.

We at the IBA Entrepreneurship Society have one purpose, and that is to facilitate you with the necessary skills and experience that, simply put, can’t be learned by sitting in a classroom alone. We aim to provide interesting and engaging opportunities that will enable you to integrate theoretical classroom principles with practical corporate situations.  We hope to help you evolve into a versatile individual, well equipped with academic and practical experience, with all the instruments necessary to capitalize upon a promising future

IBA BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION APRIL 2008

Entrepreneurship Society IBA was formed in city campus in March 2008 and hosted its first event, an internal Business Plan Competition in April 2008. The aim behind this event was to inculcate a vision for entrepreneurship in IBA students. The idea was to build an army of entrepreneurs who can sustain the development of Pakistan. This competition received a tremendous response from students. There was a Rs. 1000 prize for every team for participation, Rs. 10000 to the winning team, Rs. 7500 to second and Rs. 5000 to the third with a Rs. 2500 Special Innovation Price. The event was sponsored through AKD Securities and, was judged by renowned Entrepreneurs. 

“THE FUTURE IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE” – A seminar by Nadeem Chawhan, a Motivational Speaker- NOV 2009

IBA Entrepreneurship Society has one purpose, and that is to provide opportunities to gain practical exposure through a variety of workshops and orientations conducted by trained specialists. This event was in line with this concept. This proved to be the MOST SUCCESSFUL seminar at IBA with a full audience in a non-compulsory session. The event was highly interactive and Nadeem Chawhan’s vast experience and extraordinary expertise enlightened our path towards a currently unpredictable future and added value and direction to our goals.

YLES 2009

On an invitation from the Lums Entrepreneurship Society, IBA Entrepreneurship Society geared up to send its best teams to represent IBA at this National Competition. All the students were invited to present their ideas to our panel.  After a very rigorous week of auditions and trials, 5 teams were selected. In the first time in IBA history, these teams were sent to LUMS with their expenses FULLY SPONSORED by the IBA administration. The teams did us proud by winning for IBA the award for SECOND BEST DELEGATION at LUMS.

IIMPACT BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION SINGAPORE

This competition was held in Singapore for MBA students only. The Entrepreneurship Society played the role of a facilitator, screened applications and provided mentorship and assistance to students.

NUS SUMMER PROGRAM -JULY 2009

The National University of Singapore holds a summer program every year to encourage budding and potential entrepreneur to come together and share their knowledge and experience. This opportunity was availed by IBA students who not only attended the NUS Summer Program, fully sponsored for students, but also made their mark by giving outstanding performances/

WAIT!!! The fun learning doesn’t end here. IBA now join hands with SHELL TAMEER to build and train, what will be one of the most prestigious lot of entrepreneurs this nation has yet to see.
